American Exports: Jozy Altidore, Sunderland battle Mesut Ozil, new-look Arsenal

AMSTERDAM – Several Americans fresh from punching the US national team's World Cup ticket return to club life overseas this weekend, with Tim Howard gambling his 199-minute EPL shutout streak against visiting Chelsea.

All times listed in ET.

Jozy Altidore – Sunderland vs. Arsenal (Saturday, 10 am on NBC Sports Network)

The US forward will take aim at the Gunners, who will arrive at the Stadium of Light off a big derby win over Spurs. Probable starter Altidore may now have South Korea playmaker Ki Sung-Yueng setting the table, while Arsenal are expected to debut record signing Mesut Özil. Sunderland have traditionally dominated this series at home, but they've won just one of the last four meetings there.

Geoff Cameron, Maurice Edu, Brek Shea – Stoke City vs. Manchester City (Saturday, 10 am on Premier League Extra Time)

Despite all three Americans  now available for selection by manager Mark Hughes, Cameron is the only one that looks set to start. The presumed Potters right back made a cameo in this fixture last season to help his side post their fourth straight 1-1 home draw with the Citizens.

Brad Guzan – Aston Villa vs. Newcastle (Saturday, 10 am on Premier League Extra Time)

The former Chivas USA man will make his third try at a first win over the Magpies, who typically dislike coming to Villa Park. Newcastle won there last season, but had gone 0-4-1 on the previous five visits. The Villans have taken full points from just one of their last six home games, but the last guest from the northeast (Sunderland) was blasted 6-1 back in April.

Tim Howard – Everton vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 10 am on NBC)

Fresh from a big game against Mexico, the US netminder will attempt to get back on track in the series against the club he's faced more than any other in his career. The Blues swept both games last season after having won only twice in the prior 11 league tilts against Howard. The Toffees could debut key deadline day acquisitions Gareth Barry, Romelu Lukaku and James McCarthy. Chelsea, who traditionally struggle at Goodison Park, will be missing Eden Hazard and Oscar.

Timothy Chandler – FC Nürnberg at Braunschweig (Sunday, 11:30 am)

Chandler is expected back in the lineup at right back when the bottom two teams in the table square off in Braunschweig. The promoted hosts have won seven of 10 lifetime clashes in their building, the last coming in 1984. Nürnberg have logged just two victories in their last 17 Bundesliga away games.

Fabian Johnson – Hoffenheim vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach, Sun. 9:30 am
Jermaine Jones – Schalke at Mainz 05, Sat. 9:30 am

Alejandro Bedoya – Nantes vs. Sochaux, Sun. 2 pm

Aron Jóhannsson – AZ Alkmaar vs. Go Ahead Eagles, Sun. 8:30 am

Sacha Kljestan – Anderlecht vs. Mechelen, Sat. noon

Babajide Ogunbiyi – Viborg at AGF Aarhus, Sun. 8 am

Terrence Boyd – Rapid Vienna at FC Wacker Innsbruck, Sat. 10:30 am

Steve Clark – Hønefoss vs. IK Start, Sun. noon
Mikkel Diskerud – Rosenborg at Tromsø, Sun. 1 pm
