The US national team resumes its World Cup qualifying campaign Friday night at Costa Rica (10 pm ET, beIN Sport), a game which will mark the return of the USMNT's all-time leading scorer (56 goals), Landon Donovan, to the US first team following a year's exile handed down by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

The above Tuesday front cover of newspaper Al Día — depicting a "superhero" Donovan and translating to, "We're expecting you" — indicates that the Costa Rican national team is quite familiar with Donovan's work, and probably somewhat fearful of what the player who also lead's the USMNT all-time in assists (57) might do to their chances of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

A word of advice, though, Ticos: Try to stop Donovan like that on the field Friday night, you'll see him lift his already stellar rate of converting penalty kicks for the national team even higher.

U.S. Soccer also recently released its official poster for the September 10 rivalry clash between the USMNT and Mexico, which you can purchase on its website.
