Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: Kyle Beckerman's brace rights ship for Supporters' Shield leading Real Salt Lake

Supporters' Shield-leading Real Salt Lake bounced back from a tough two-game span with a convincing 4-0 win at Rio Tinto Stadium over the Columbus Crew, and it was their captain who led the way. Kyle Beckerman helped his team not only to three points, but his two goals earned him a spot at the top of the Castrol Index Top 20.

While Beckerman's brace was the story, his RSL teammate, midfielder Luis Gil, also cracked the top 20, pulling in with a No. 17 ranking thanks to his strong showing and well-taken goal. Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Michael Gspurning was Beckerman's closest pursuer, finishing more than 250 points off the pace with 1,562 points in his clean sheet over the Portland Timbers.

The Montreal Impact, after trumping the Houston Dynamo 5-0, had three players in the Top 20 -- No. 5 Jeb Brovsky, No. 6 Marco Di Vaio and No. 11 Troy Perkins.
