If you were in a Major League Soccer stadium other than Gillette Stadium this past weekend, you might have missed a sure-fire MLS Goal of the Year candidate from Houston Dynamo midfielder Adam Moffat.
If you're not familiar with Moffat's work, he's a hard-nosed, caveman-looking, defensive midfielder from Scotland. So when he scored this powerful volley from 25 yards out against the Revolution on Saturday night, some fans around the league might have been surprised.
Surprised, you should not be, though, according to the Houston Dynamo communications and video folks. In the above video, you will find nearly half of the goals scored by Moffat in his regular season and playoff career, and they are all shots hit from distance with real conviction, much like his most recent masterpiece.
