Bobby Boswell nailed it.

The Houston Dynamo defender on Tuesday revealed that he would be fined and suspended an extra match for delivering a headbutt to New England's Dimitry Imbongo last Saturday (watch video above), and on Wednesday, the MLS Disciplinary Committee officially announced the one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine "for violent conduct that endangered the safety of his opponent."

Boswell received a red card on the play -- Imbongo was sent off as well -- which occurred in the 39th minute of his team's 2-0 home loss to the Revolution.

He was already set to miss Sunday's match at Sporting Kansas City (3:30 pm ET, NBC Sports Network) due to the automatic red-card suspension. Given the extra match suspension from the Disciplinary Committee, he'll also have to sit out the Dynamo's June 1 match in Columbus.

According to the release from the league, the "Committee unanimously determined that Boswell's headbutt was an egregious act that required further sanction," beyond the red card he received.
