Seattle Sounders' Eddie Johnson named Player of the Week after bagging brace in win vs. FC Dallas

Eddie Johnson

Eddie Johnson made it look easy with a brace in the Seattle Sounders' 4-2 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday.

That impressive performance at CenturyLink Field earned "EJ" Week 12's Player of the Week award, as voted on by the North American Soccer Reporters. See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.

The World Cup veteran, who will soon join the US men's national team for a pair of friendlies and three World Cup qualifiers, scored the opener with a quality half-volley in the 16th minute before burying the winner that killed off a resilient FC Dallas side in the 62nd.

Johnson is the first Sounders player to claim the honors this season.
