NEW YORK — New England Revolution left back Chris Tierney will miss Thursday night's match in Portland after he was suspended by the MLS Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday.

The Disciplinary Committee ruled that Tierney's tackle on Philadephia Union forward Sébastien Le Toux was a "reckless challenge that endangered the safety of his opponent" (WATCH IT HERE) and issued the player a one-game suspension and undisclosed fine.

The play occurred in the 90th minute of New England's 2-0 win over Philadelphia and it was not sanctioned with a card by referee Baldomero Toledo.
