AMSTERDAM – Paços de Ferreira attacker Arturo Alvarez (above left) has moved on loan to Hungarian side Videoton for the rest of the season.

Videoton, who were UEFA Cup runners up in 1985, stand two points out of a European slot in fourth place with 13 games left on the league slate. They will return from the extended winter break with a March 3 visit to Budapest Honvéd.

Though Alvarez is ready to embark on a new adventure in Europe, Chivas USA hold his rights, should the former San Jose, Dallas and Real Salt Lake man choose to return to MLS.
