Goal of the Matchday

Impact's Felipe wins AT&T Goal of the Week for scissor kick

Felipe celebrates a goal for Montreal

Felipe already has a few spectacular goals in his brief MLS career, but he may have scored his pièce de résistance last weekend against the Union.

The Brazilian went sideways and busted out the scissors, burying his acrobatic shot in the bottom corner and inspiring the fans to vote his strike AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 22.

Fredy Montero was a close second, coming up just short of his third GOTW award in 2012 with 33 percent of the vote after banging in a bad-angle half volley to help Seattle blow out LA in front of more than 60,000 fans at CenturyLink Field.

Jack Jewsbury's volley against FC Dallas came in third, while Eddie Johnson and Joseph Nane brought up the rear with their respective contributions.
