VOTE: Eastern vs. Western, which conference is better?

''The team has high standards, and we are our own hardest critics,'' Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell said.

As MLS reaches the last third of the season, teams are fighting for all the points they can get to secure their spot in the top five of their conference tables to reach the playoffs.

Which conference is better?

Currently, the New York Red Bulls lead the Eastern Conference with Houston Dynamo just one point behind. Meanwhile, the San Jose Earthquakes sit on top of the Western Conference with a two-point lead on second-place Real Salt Lake.

No doubt these next few weeks will be a part of the most intense games this season has yet to see as teams make their final push for a spot in the top five. But which conference will give a better show? Which conference will really be worth watching?

Houston Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell said earlier this week that the East is the better conference this year despite the fact that the West was a powerhouse just last year. He may be right. Spots in the top five of that conference aren’t as secure as there is only a four-point difference from getting to the playoffs and not. Teams in that conference will be working towards those points to make up the difference.

In the Western Conference, there is a seven-point safety net for the top five teams. But the bottom half will put up a fight to catch up. Let us know what you think, which conference is better?
