Jack McInerney is starting to heat up – and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Philadelphia Union forward scored his third goal of the season in the Union's 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy at the Home Depot Center last Wednesday and took home AT&T Goal of the Week honors for Week 18. The 19-year-old's cheeky heel-flick goal trickled its way to the far post and past a diving Josh Saunders in net.

McInerney – who has started four of the last five games for the Union after making his season debut in the first XI against D.C. United on June 16 – has three goals and two assists during that span and more importantly, Philadelphia are 3-1 in the games in which he has received the nod.

The Generation adidas signee – whose next chance to continue his scoring tear continues Saturday night at home against Montreal (7 pm ET, watch LIVE online) – easily wrapped up the weekly award with 44 percent of the vote and becomes the first member of the Union to win since Roger Torres in Week 20 of 2011. McInerney beat out former Union teammate and current Portland Timber Danny Mwanga, who tallied his first goal with his new club.
