Goal of the Matchday

Toronto's Johnson tops Estrada for AT&T Goal of the Week

Ryan Johnson celebrates his goal at Seattle

Seattle may have scored the most goals on Saturday, but Toronto FC scored the nicest one.

MLS fans voted Ryan Johnson's goal at CenturyLink Field as the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week for Week 2.

The Jamaican international collected the ball at midfield and ran past one Seattle player, evaded another and curled the ball into the top left corner of the goal. The 62nd-minute strike cut into Seattle's lead and made it a 2-1 game although the Sounders eventually pulled away for a 3-1 win behind a David Estrada hat trick.

The Sounders forward came in second place in the weekly voting with Montreal's first-ever MLS goal, Robbie Keane's blast and Nick DeLeon's beauty bringing up the rear.

  1. Ryan Johnson (TOR) 37%
  2. David Estrada (SEA) 22%
  3. Davy Arnaud (MTL) 16%
  4. Robbie Keane (LA) 14%
  5. Nick DeLeon (DC) 11%
