AMSTERDAM — Michael Bradley and Chievo were bounced from the Coppa Italia quarterfinals on Wednesday after dropping a 1-0 decision to visiting Siena.
The US midfielder continued getting a break from starting cup matches, but came on for the final 10 minutes with his side needing a goal to force extras. As stoppage time began, a fine entry pass nearly netted Bradley an equalizing assist, but recipient Davide Moscardelli fired agonizingly wide.
In the end, a Mattia Destro strike just after the break ended both Chievo's Coppa chase and their 541-minute home shutout streak across all competitions.
