US U-17s rally for late 2-2 draw in friendly vs. France

The US Under-17 national team fought back for a last-gasp 2-2 draw with France in the first match of the 2011 Nike International Friendlies on Wednesday at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.


Wesley Wade of the New York Red Bulls Academy got the equalizer with the last kick of the game, as he slotted home a loose ball after a long throw-in from Shaquell Moore. DeAndre Robinson had opened the scoring for the US in the 25th minute, but France rallied to take a 2-1 lead into second-half stoppage time.


The US are next in action on Friday, when they face Turkey at 5 pm ET on FOX Soccer.
