AMSTERDAM — Sporting Kansas City forward Teal Bunbury is set for a training visit with English Premier League side Bolton, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

The 21-year-old spurned the chance to work out with Hoffenheim to visit Wanderers, becoming the latest in a long line of Major League Soccer players to arrange such trips in Europe this offseason. One source indicated to MLSsoccer.com that Bunbury may also work out with another English club after his Bolton stint.

Now nursing an ankle knock, he is expected to join up in early December for two weeks.

Currently 18th in the EPL, the Reebok Stadium crew already employ injured US midfielder Stuart Holden and now have the Colorado Rapids' Jeff Larentowicz with them in training.

Bunbury has previously worked out with Stoke City and was the subject of a failed Brøndby bid this summer. In 2011, the second-year man bagged nine goals in MLS this season and added another pair in the playoffs.
