American Exports: Findley, Doyle see relief duty in England

Robbie Findley made his Nottingham Forest debut in a win over Leicester City.

AMSTERDAM — A pair of American forwards saw relief duty in England on Tuesday, with Robbie Findley putting in a 15-minute shift as Nottingham Forest toppled Middlesbrough 2-0.

The result snapped a three-game victory drought for the Reds, who hopped out of the English Championship relegation zone and up to 20th place.

Elsewhere, Derby County youngster Conor Doyle worked 20 minutes in his second league outing of the term, a wild 2-2 draw at Reading.

With the US Under-20 international in at support forward, the fourth-place Rams regained and then re-squandered the lead to stay winless in their last four.
