The Vancouver Whitecaps have waived defender Wes Knight.
The 24-year-old made 12 appearances for the club in MLS, starting 10 and recording one assist. However, he has not played since July 6.
"We want to thank Wes for the contributions he made to our club over the past two-plus seasons and wish him all the best for the future," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi.
He originally joined the club in 2009, when they were in the second division.
