AMSTERDAM — Mikkel Diskerud and Stabæk missed a chance to move into the Tippeligaen penthouse on Monday by dropping a tough 1-0 home decision to Sogndal.
The US international was among the best players on the park over the opening half hour, but the hosts were unable to find a breakthrough despite creating several chances.
With his side having fallen behind to a 37th-minute Mats Solheim set piece goal, Diskerud carved out a glorious last minute chance to level, which Pontus Farnerud failed to convert.
The loss leaves Stabæk one point short of a five-way tabletop logjam.
