Toyota Park jumbotron to carry potential Blackhawks clincher

Chicago Blackhawks player and Fire fan Marian Hossa will hope to hoist the Stanley Cup Wednesday night

Fire vs. Rapids or Blackhawks vs. Flyers?

Fans torn between coming to Toyota Park and supporting the Fire in Wednesday’s night match against the Rapids or watching the Chicago Blackhawks attempt to hoist the Stanley Cup in tonight’s Game 6 in Philadelphia, now can do both – sort of.

The Fire announced on Monday that they will be showing Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals on the Toyota Park Jumbotron during pregame warm-ups and at halftime.

The puck drops in Philadelphia at 7 p.m. Chicago time, one hour before kickoff at Toyota Park.  So before the Fire and Rapids kick off, fans in attendance will be treated to roughly an hour of the hockey game – a little over the amount of time it takes to complete a period.

The halftime showing of Game 6 should provide fans with about a 10-minute taste of the action on the ice.
