Weekly update: Revs head to Texas

FC Dallas will play their second match at Pizza Hut Park this Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. against New England Revolution after tying the MetroStars 2-2 in last Saturday's inaugural match. This will be the second match of a stretch that will see FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park for 10 of their final 13 regular season matches, including six of the next seven.

The club currently seats in second place in the Western Conference with a 10-5-5 record for 35 points. Although San Jose has now claimed first place in the conference with 37 points, FC Dallas still has one game-in-hand. The 35 points after 20 matches is the best record for the club in team history.

Five thousand (5,000) decorative FC Dallas trash cans will be given away after the match courtesy of Kraft.

The match against New England can be heard on English Radio (KFCD - 990 AM) and on Spanish Radio (Radio AYO - 1540 AM).

CARLOS RUIZ WRITES HIS NAME IN THE RECORD BOOKS ONCE AGAIN: FC Dallas forward Carlos Ruiz wrote his name in the record books last Saturday when he scored the first-ever goal in the history of Pizza Hut Park in the 31st minute of the 2-2 tie against the MetroStars. Coincidentally, Ruiz also scored the first-ever goal at the Home Depot Center when the L.A. Galaxy defeated the Colorado Rapids 2-0 on June 7, 2003.

FC DALLAS MAINTAINS UNBEATEN STREAK AT HOME THIS SEASON: FC Dallas has begun the 2005 MLS season with a 5-0-2 record at home after their 2-2 draw with the MetroStars last Saturday night. The unbeaten streak to begin this season is the longest in team history. As they head into their next match this Saturday versus New England, FC Dallas will look to stay along with San Jose (6-0-4) as the only undefeated teams at home this season.

PLAYER NOTES:
Carlos Ruiz (forward) is now second among league leaders in goals (9) after scoring twice last Saturday versus the Metros.

Ronnie O'Brien (midfielder) registered two assist last Saturday against the Metros and stays on top of the MLS in assists (9).

Eddie Johnson (forward) played last Saturday in his first MLS match since May 22nd after been sidelined because of a stress fracture in his right toe.

Jeff Cassar (goalkeeper) saw action for the first time this season last Saturday after replacing Scott Garlick in the starting line-up.
