Revolution 2, Burn 0: Quote sheet

that's the hardest part for us is just taking care of our business and hopefully the chips fall in the right place. In two games a lot can happen and if we win out we could be in a good spot."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION MIDFIELDER BRIAN KAMLER:

On the win:
"It was good. There were still stretches of the game where we didn't keep the ball very well. We still need to work on that a little bit. The coaches this week worked a lot on possession games in terms of one team versus another, and I'm sure this upcoming week we'll work on more of the same going into D.C. Hopefully, those stretches we go without keeping the ball become less and less."

On his game:
"I feel like over the last three or four games I've really gotten my fitness back from being injured. So -- knock on wood -- everything's going well. You have nights they zig and zag with you and there are other nights when they don't zig and zag and hopefully someone else on your team is able to zig when they don't zag. We were pretty solid all over the field tonight and I thought the guys at the back did a wonderful job."

DALLAS BURN HEAD COACH COLIN CLARKE:

On the match:
"We started the game lively. We were sharp. We created some stuff. We had a good chance in the first two or three minutes and we didn't do well enough with it. So if we could possibly have been up 1-0, but it doesn't happen. We looked sharp for the first 20-25 minutes and then they started to work their way into the game. And we gave up a bad goal. We lost a runner on a set goal and then they get a free kick, which I didn't think was a free kick. But they get it don't defend it and we are down 1-0 right before halftime. Then we give up a second right after, which is just criminal."

On the first half:
"I thought we started the game bright and lively and took it to them in the first part. We got a little sloppy around the 30-minute mark and that's when they scored the goal. If we had gone into halftime 0-0, they would have gotten frustrated and maybe things go differently. But we gave them the goal they wanted and then they were able to sit back a little and counter in the second half. Like I said, the second goal we gave up was just ridiculous."

DALLS BURN FORWARD JASON KREIS

On the match:
"Very disappointing. I felt like we came out good. Created a couple of chances. Unfortunately we did not finish our chances. They finished their first chance, or at least their first clear-cut chance. That is just the nature of the beast right now. Obviously, once we got behind it was a difficult game for us. And for us to give up a goal in the first minute, minute and a half back is unacceptable."
