Reserves: FC Dallas 2, Galaxy 0

CARSON, CA - The FC Dallas reserves (5-4-1, 16 pts.) defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy reserves (4-5-2, 14 pt.), 2-0, on Sunday morning at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Dallas improved to above five hundred with the win in the Reserve Division League season with goals from F Jason Boyce and M Carey Talley.


In the first minute, FC Dallas took an early with lead on a goal by forward Jason Boyce. Keying on a Galaxy defensive miscue, Boyce pounced on the loose ball dribbled into the box and struck a hard shot off the arm Galaxy goalkeeper Steve Cronin and into the back of the net.


FC Dallas doubled their lead in the 30 minute with a goal from midfielder Carey Talley. A Dallas cross from the right wing deflected out to the top of the box. The loose ball rolled perfectly for Talley, who fired a low hard shot through the defense and past Cronin for a 2-0 advantage.


In the second half, Los Angeles continued to pressure Dallas, but was unable to break through despite a number of point blank chances. The most dangerous efforts coming from speedy forward Mamba Chisoni, who created several shots but was denied by Dallas 'keeper Dario Sala and substitute Nicolas Platter.
