The MetroStars face off against the San Jose Earthquakes this Saturday at 4 p.m. The Metros will be looking to avenge their loss suffered against the Quakes on June 12 in San Jose. Look for the "Red and Black" to come out fired up and ready to beat 2003 MLS Cup champions. Aside from all the action on the field, the MetroStars are also providing some great events off the field, making this a worthy night out to be enjoyed by all.

Prior to the match, a Greek heritage festival will be located between gates C and D. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature food and music from the Greek culture. In addition to the Greek heritage festival, the MetroStars are also kicking off their MetroStars Idol contest. The MetroStars and Z100 are inviting local artists to participate in this one-of-a-kind talent contest. You could be chosen to show off your talents during a MetroStars game at historic Giants Stadium. The best-of-the-best will become the "MetroStars Idol 2004." The MetroStars Idol will receive a grand prize package that includes tickets to the "American Idol" concert at Continental Airlines Arena and the chance to perform the national anthem at a MetroStars game. The contest begins this Saturday in Lot B prior to the MetroStars and Earthquakes match.
After the match, MetroMembers are in for a treat. The MetroStars are hosting their annual "meet the team day" for season ticket holders. Those in attendance will be invited to a barbecue with the entire MetroStars team in order to kick back and have a good time with some of their favorite soccer heroes.
