Galaxy 0, Rapids 0 -- quote sheet

LOS ANGELES GALAXY 0, COLORADO RAPIDS 0

LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP

On the game:
"Obviously it is a disappointing result for us with the state we are in at the moment. I can't fault the guys for their effort, but I think better clinical play in the final third really wins the game tonight. We worked all week on it, but we couldn't seem to pull the trigger at the right time. The effort was there, and I will give them full credit, they kept going right until the end. We are disappointed."

On the Galaxy's offensive struggles:
"I was very frustrated. The last two games I have been frustrated. Just when you want the team to hit a bit of a great stretch and score goals, we have hit a bit of a mean streak and we can't seem to create real chances. We created some against Houston, but tonight we never really had a time where we looked like we were going to carve them up. They came in here looking to get a point, and I think they played like that is all they wanted. That certainly made things a bit difficult for us."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY FORWARD LANDON DONOVAN

On the Galaxy's playoff chances:
"You can't get much further up against the wall than we are right now. The games are counting down, so we can keep saying that we will play well when we need to ... but we need to now. We are not there yet. Two games at home without a win, especially at this point of the season, hurts a lot."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER STEFANI MIGLIORANZI

On his Galaxy and MLS debut:
"It wasn't much of an outing. I think when the manager decided to put me in, we were desperately trying to get a goal, so he put me in there to crowd the box, really. I tried to get something to drop in the box for us. Not much of a debut for me, but it is nice to get my feet wet."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY DEFENDER CHRIS ALBRIGHT

On the game:
"We are not a tense bunch, I think we go about our business in a professional way and I think we know that we can go out and play well, and that is what we attempted to do tonight. But, Colorado came in with a certain mindset tonight. They are a difficult team to play against, and all they had to do was come in and get a point and they did it."

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

On the game:
"We knew that they needed to come out and dominate the game. So, we came up with a good game plan, and we came out to get what we are looking for, and that is to keep adding points. If we keep playing this way we can add a lot more points."

COLORADO RAPIDS MIDFIELDER KYLE BECKERMAN

On the tie on the road:
"We just gave it a 100 percent effort as a team tonight. We worked our tails off, and played for each other. We were real organized and played really smart. It feels great. We have had some tough times with L.A., and it feels great to have really dominated them this year. I'm looking forward to doing it in years to come."

COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER DAN GARGAN

On the Rapids' team defense:
"We have a pretty good rivalry with the Galaxy, and whether it is at our place or their place, it is always a good game. They always come to play, and with playmakers like Landon Donovan and Cobi Jones, it is a testament to our defense when we shut them out. When we play like we did today, it is great defense from top to bottom."
