FC Dallas 3, Rapids 1 -- quote sheet

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER QUOTE SHEET

SATURDAY, JUNE 25, 2005 - FC DALLAS 3, COLORADO RAPIDS 1
COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

On the game:
"We were three seconds late to every single tackle. We did not possess (the ball), we did not pass. We had an opportunity, and like every time we have an opportunity to take things ahead, we do not do it. It is disappointing, very disappointing. We had way too many chances and too many opportunities."

On the play of FC Dallas midfielder Ronnie O'Brien:
"We gave Ronnie O'Brien an opportunity to get the ball, we gave him an opportunity to go forward, we gave him an opportunity to receive and play. That is not our game, our game is everyone is pressuring and today we were not."

COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER NAT BORCHERS

On playing with more possession:
"We would like to have more possession, because we get really tired after those first 20 minutes when they have the ball and knock it around us. I do not want us to be the type of team that has to send long balls over the top every time just in order to win games and not possess the ball because we have great players."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH COLIN CLARKE

On the win:
"I think Ronnie (O'Brien) did an incredible job. Ronnie has been, for me, the best player in MLS so far, he has got such an energy level. He covers every blade of grass. (Colorado) had a tough time, as does everybody else, containing him."

FC DALLAS DEFENDER BOBBY RHINE

On his goal:
"It is stuff we work on in training all the time, just getting numbers in the box. It was a good ball by Ronnie (O'Brien) and we are just getting guys in the area and trying to get on the end of things. We put pressure on them quite a bit during a stretch there toward the end of the game and we got the goal we deserved."
