FC DALLAS 0, SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES 0

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On game:
"I thought that it was a point earned tonight. The game could have gone either way because both sides had some good chances to score. With everything that happened in this game, I thought that the guys really stayed focused and played well."

On injuries to Troy Dayak, Brian Ching, Brian Mullan and Craig Waibel:
"Every year you are going to have injuries, but four in one week like this is tough. I never like to see guys get hurt on either team. You like to see 11 guys stay in and play a full game. It was a tough one tonight."

On defense:
"I am proud of the way we defended tonight. Ricardo [Clark] and Ryan [Cochrane] did an excellent job stepping in for Craig [Waibel] and Troy [Dayak] and I felt very comfortable with the back four. Dallas has been scoring a lot of goals, but we did not give them much tonight, so I was happy with that. From the back four to the forwards, I thought we did well."

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES GOALKEEPER PAT ONSTAD

On play of the Quakes defense:
"I thought we played well. When you are going against guys like Carlos Ruiz and Eddie Johnson and only giving them faint looks, I think you've done your job. I was real proud of the way the guys played today. I think they didn't have too many chances. We settled down and I thought we played a great game defensively."

On the amount of injuries in game:
"I've never seen anything like it. When Troy [Dayak] and Richard Mulrooney go down, I guess that was just a sign of things to come. Then we lose two more guys; it seemed like there was always someone down on the field. It is unfortunate."

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES DEFENDER WADE BARRETT

On the Quakes:
"We think we are a good team. Everyone has been talking about the two forwards that we played against tonight, but I think we have done a pretty good job of scoring goals ourselves. Ching and Cerritos and Alejandro [Moreno] coming in and Dwayne [De Rosario], [Brian] Mullan and Brad Davis. We have a good attacking team, and because of that we are disappointed that we didn't get three points."

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES DEFENDER RICARDO CLARK

On playing right back:
"It is a little bit of an adjustment, but I've played there in the past, so it wasn't too difficult. I just tried to come in there and do well. It was intense, because they have two quality strikers, but our goal from the get-go was to be on them and not give them any space. We pretty much did the job."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH COLIN CLARKE

On the game:
"It was a very spirited game. Obviously, we are very disappointed for a couple of our boys who are a little banged up, and for them, they have a couple banged up as well. It doesn't look good for both teams. Overall, I thought the game was very spirited end to end. It was probably a fair result at the end of the night."

On FC Dallas injuries:
"We can't say one way or the other what Richard's [Mulrooney] injury is until we have things checked out a little bit, but our fingers are crossed for him. [David] Wagenfuhr is a knee as well and our fingers are crossed."

On the team's play:
"I thought we had a good bit of the play, we got in some great positions in the second half, and our final ball let us down. Our service into the box wasn't good. We had them pushed back a few times and we were running down the right or left, and our final ball was poor. Both 'keepers probably had a lot of stuff flashing around in front of them. Scott [Garlick] made a great save on the header, and Pat [Onstad] had one. I don't know how Ronnie's [O'Brien] volley early on didn't go in. Other than that, we had good opportunities that we didn't make the most of."

On upcoming FC Dallas games:
"We've played seven games, five on the road and two at home and we are sitting tied for the top in our conference, so I'm delighted. We go home on Wednesday and hopefully get a chance to get three points and then go on the road for another four, and we will evaluate how we are then. We had a clean sheet on the road, and anytime you can do that it is great. We probably had a bit better of the play tonight, our final touches just didn't fall for us."

FC DALLAS GOALKEEPER SCOTT GARLICK

On his play:
"I am glad I can contribute. We haven't done poorly lately, but I think we haven't performed up to our expectations either. When that happens maybe frustration sets in, and luckily tonight I was able to make a few plays to keep us in the game."

On first half breakaway save on Ronald Cerritos:
"Fortunately, we had a couple guys chasing him and putting pressure on him. He had to make a quick decision, and fortunately he was far enough out that I was able to make the save. That made my job easy. You have to credit our defenders there. We made a mistake to let him through, but we recovered and it looked like he rushed it a little bit."
