Yu Tsukanome

2025 (Tacoma Defiance): Tsuokanome appeared in 31 matches (26 starts) in all competitions and set a new Tacoma Defiance single-season club record with 21 goals, finishing third in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot Race with 18 regular-season strikes. He recorded a hat trick in 14 minutes as a substitute against Whitecaps FC 2 (April 6). He also scored three goals during Tacoma’s 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run, including a brace against the Washington Athletic Club (March 20). He was an honorable mention for the MLS NEXT Pro Best XI.
