Cicciarelli, 22, totaled 13 goals and five assists over 59 matches (12 starts) during his collegiate career. The forward attended the University of Notre Dame from 2011-2014, scoring eight goals in 44 matches for the Fighting Irish before transferring to Saint Louis University ahead of the 2015 campaign, where he notched five goals and two assists over 15 games (12 starts) last season.

In 2013, Cicciarelli was a Third-Team All-ACC selection following a season with six goals and three assists as he helped Notre Dame win a national championship. He transferred to Saint Louis University ahead of the 2015 campaign, where was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week in August following his game-winning goal in double overtime against Tulsa on August 28.

“After hosting Vincent at our Crew SC College Combine in 2015, we felt he could provide some quality depth at the forward position this preseason as he also demonstrated his scoring ability at the collegiate level,” said Columbus Crew SC Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter, who selected him 60th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.
