A left-footed winger who racked up gaudy stats in a glittering college career at Creighton, Pitter scored six goals in FC Dallas' 2016 preseason to help earn a place on coach Oscar Pareja's roster. Pitter racked up 33 goals and 22 assists over four years in Omaha, culminating in back-to-back Big East Conference Midfielder of the Year awards in his final two seasons and semifinalist status for the MAC Hermann Trophy, given to NCAA soccer's top player, as a senior. Was recruited to Creighton from Germany, where he played school soccer at Frankenlandschulheim Gaibach and FC Gerolzhofen as a U-16.
