Sanna Nyassi

San Jose Earthquakes bought out Nyassi's contract prior to the 2016 season.

Nyassi is a two time US Open Cup Champion, and a two time Canadian Champion. His twin brother Sainey is also a pro, who spent time with the Revs in MLS. He has made over 150 career MLS appearances and will hope to break 100 career starts, 20 career goals and 20 career assists in his ninth MLS season, playing for his fifth MLS club. He set a career high for starts in 2015.

OUTSIDE MLS: Signed with the Seattle Sounders FC on Sept. 6, 2008. Nyassi signed a professional contract with Gambia’s Ports Authority FC in 2004, playing in the capital city of Banjul until 2008. He won the 2006 League 1 championship before scoring the game-winning goal in the 2007 Gambian FA Cup.

INTERNATIONAL: He has played six games with the Gambian National Team. He also played two games in the 2007 U20 FIFA Championships and three games in the 2005 U17 World Championships.
