Cronin is a veteran holding midfielder in MLS. Having played for three teams in the league before joining Minnesota, he's a steady presence in the middle of the park and tends to do the dirty work for his team. In 2016 he enjoyed a career year, helping the Rapids set defensive records. He is looking to rebound after missing 2018 due to injury.

INTERNATIONAL: Played two games for the US national team in 2009, including one game at the Concacaf Gold Cup, and was called up to the annual January training camp in 2011.

COLLEGE: Played collegiately at Wake Forest University, was an NSCAA All-American and a finalist for the Hermann trophy his senior season.

NOTES: Won the Supporters' Shield with San Jose in 2012.
