CURRENT CLUB: Charlton Atheltic (England)
Reza Ghoochannejhad is a Mashad born player who moved to the Netherlands as a kid. He has scored a lot of goals in lower European leagues and was finally brought to the Iranian national team by Queiroz by the end of 2012 and became a sensation. After not scoring in his first two appearances, he scored eight goals in eight appearances in 2013, almost single-handedly shooting Iran to World Cup, with winning goals in Qatar and South Korea. He is struggling a bit at club level since leaving Belgian outfit St. Truiden, barely playing for his club Standard Liege in 2013 before joining Charlton Athletic in January in order to gain match fitness. His strength is his anticipation and coolness in front of goal. Actually a left footed player, but scores almost as many goals with his right foot.
