Career Summary

Toronto FC signed Argentine midfielder Martin Saric on the eve of the 2010 season opener. He was signed as a free agent after spending much of the pre-season with the club. Saric was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina but carries a Croatian passport. The midfielder began his career as a youth player with San Lorenzo in his native Argentina and then played for Sportivo Luqueno in Paraguay before heading back to Argentina where he won promotion with Nueva Chicago.

He played for NK Rijeka in Croatia in 2002 and FC Ljubljana in Slovenia in 2003. After a brief stop in Israel and a season with FC Politehnica Iasi in Romania, he spent 2009 at Slovenian club NK Celje.

Saric made his Toronto FC debut in a 2-0 defeat at Columbus Crew on March 27, 2010.
