Júnior Díaz is one of the longest tenured Ticos, having made his debut all the way back in 2003. The left back currently plays for FSV Mainz in the German Bundesliga.

COSTA RICAN NATIONAL TEAM

Despite making his debut in 2003, Díaz did not feature for Costa Rica in the 2006 World Cup. He has made registered over 60 caps for the side in his career.

CLUB CAREER

After leaving Herediano in 2007, Díaz made stops in Poland and Belgium before arriving at Mainz in 2012. He has been a reliable contributor in Mainz’ surprising 2013-14 season.
