José María Basanta

José María Basanta is a veteran centerback who was an integral part of Monterrey's three consecutive CONCACAF Champions League titles from 2010-11 to 2012-13.

ARGENTINIAN NATIONAL TEAM

Basanta made his international debut as a 28 year old in 2013. He made four starts during World Cup qualifying.

CLUB CAREER

Basanta played for Estudiantes and Olimpo before joining Monterrey in 2008. In addition to the Champions League titles, Basanta has also won two league titles.
