Johnny Acosta is one of the Ticos most experienced defenders along the backline. 

COSTA RICAN NATIONAL TEAM

Acosta did not make his debut for his national team until 2011, when he was already 28 years old. Since then he has appeared in over 25 games for the Ticos.

CLUB CAREER

Spending most of his career with Santos de Guápiles, Acosta made the move to Alajuelense in 2010. Acosta has been a part of the Rojinegros recent run of championships but also was sent to Dorados in Mexico for a loan spell in 2013. In 2016 Acosta joined Herediiano.
