Career Summary

The midfielder was acquired by Inter Miami in a trade with Toronto FC in November 2019. With Toronto, Chapman was part of a successful 2017 campaign which saw the team win both the Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup. He also helped Toronto win three consecutive Canadian Championship titles. 

Chapman has represented Canada on the international stage, initially playing at the U-17 level. He made appearances in the 2011 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, where the Canadian team earned a silver medal, and the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He also made four appearances at the U-23 level, and most recently two at the senior level, debuting in 2017. In his first senior appearance he scored a goal against Bermuda in a 4-2 win.  

The Canadian began his youth career in the Toronto FC Academy before attending Michigan State University. In 2015 he returned to Toronto where he signed a Homegrown Player contract. 

Chapman made 88 appearances for Toronto FC, tallying six goals and five assists. He also made 15 appearances for Toronto FC II in the USL, totaling three goals and one assist.
