2025: MLS: Made three appearances with one start...logging 16 minutes played...made his MLS debut on August 30 against Columbus Crew...made first career MLS start in a 2-0 win against CF Montreal on September 20.

PRIOR TO NEW YORK

Berggren spent three seasons with Rakow Czestochowa, where he made 105 appearances and tallied five goals and seven asssits. He helped lead Rakow to their first Ekstraklasa Championship in franchise history in 2023 and was named the Team MVP for the 2024 season. Prior to Rakow, Berggren played for BK Hacken from 2016 to 2022, he made 156 career appearances and scored 13 goals and tallied 18 assists. He won the Swedish Super Cup in 2016 and also won the Allsevnskan Championship in 2022.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

The midfielder has made one career appearance with the Sweden National Team, in a 1-0 win over Moldova on January 9, 2020, where he started and played 90 minutes.

New York Red Bulls have signed Swedish midfielder Gustav Berggren to a three-and-a-half-year MLS contract through 2028 with an option for 2029 on July 23, 2025.
