2011/2012: Played four games with Cruz Azul Hidalgo, in Mexican second division… Selected by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the first round, second overall, in the MLS Supplemental Draft… Acquired by the Montreal Impact in a trade on January 17, in return for Etienne Barbara’s discovery rights.

2010/2011: Made his Mexican Primera Division debut with Cruz Azul on September 12 against Atlas… Started two games for the first team in the CONCACAF Champions League, scoring one goal against Panamean club San Francico FC in a 6-0 win… Also played six games with Cruz Azul Hidalgo, in second division, and 15 games with Cruz Azul U20.

Played five games with the U20 Mexican National Team… Was part of the preliminary squad for Mexico’s entry in the 2007 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Developed by Mexican club Cruz Azul.

His father, Gustavo, played eight seasons in the Primera Division with Toluca in the 80’s… His brother, Gustavo Enrique, played for San Luis and Club America in the first division while his brother Geovani was part of Toluca in Primera B.
