Agbossoumonde was acquired by Toronto FC through a weighted lottery conducted at MLS headquarters on December 20, 2012. Prior to joining Toronto FC and MLS, Agbossoumonde spent time at Miami FC and was loaned to Braga (Portugal), Djurgardens IF (Sweden), Eintracht Frankfurt II (Germany), and the Carolina RailHawks (U.S. NASL). The Togolese-born American, was named the U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year in 2010 and has been a member of the U.S. U17 and U20 National Teams. He registered his first senior international cap on November 17, 2010 against South Africa.
