Fredrik Gulbrandsen

Acquired early in the 2017 season on loan from New York Red Bulls sister club Red Bull Salzburg, Gulbrandsen should compete with Argentine forward Gonzalo Veron for minutes next to striker Bradley Wright-Phillips in New York's new, two-forward formation.

OUTSIDE MLS: Began his professional career with his hometown team,Lillestrøm,in 2008. In 2013 he transferred to Molde and helped the team to the league/cup double in 2014 with 14 goals in 28 matches. Moved to Salzburg in June 2016, scoring two goals in nine league appearances before being acquired by New York. 

INTERNATIONAL: Has three career appearances with Norway's senior national team, including one cap in a 2016 Euro qualifier.
