Franck Ribéry recently finished in third place in the Ballon d'Or voting, an award given to the best player in the world. His pace and technical abilities allow him to cause havoc coming in from the left side of midfield on his right foot.

FRENCH NATIONAL TEAM

Ribery comes into the 2014 World Cup having already appeared in 10 World Cup matches. He scored five goals in ten appearances during this cycle of World Cup qualifying.

CLUB CAREER

Ribery played for six different clubs before joining Bayern Munich in 2007. Since then he has scored 96 goals in all competitions, won four Bundesliga titles, and the 2012-13 Champions League. He was named the UEFA Champions League's Best Player for that season.
