A confident, fast attacking player who can take players on 1-v-1 and has the ability to stretch defenses, Atuahene nearly made MLS history when he scored his first goal just 42 seconds after coming off the substitute's bench to make his MLS debut against the San Jose Earthquakes June 10. It was on his 23rd birthday, no less. 

OUTSIDE MLS: A native of Accra, Ghana, Atuahene was a member of the Right to Dream Academy. He spent the bulk of the 2019 season on loan with Austin Bold FC in the USL Championship, where he played 466 minutes in 10 appearances (four starts). Scored one goal and recorded one assist during his time there. In 2018, he featured in eight games, including four starts on loan with Oklahoma City Energy FC in the USL Championship, scoring four goals.

COLLEGE: Played three seasons at the University of Michigan where he scored 24 goals and dished out 11 assists, twice earning First Team All-Big Ten Conference honors.
