Faryd Mondragón will be the oldest player ever at a FIFA World Cup, when he turns 43 years old in June 21st, two days after Colombia's second group game vs Greece. He made his Colombian national team debut over 20 years ago in 1993, and was the starter during the 1998 World Cup in France, where he was one of the best goalkeepers of the group stage, despite conceding three goals. Mondragón has played for plenty of clubs in his career, being idolized in Deportivo Cali (Colombia), Cerro Porteño (Paraguay), Independiente (Argentina), and Philadelphia Union (USA). He has announced his retirement from soccer folowing the 2014 World Cup.
