Didier Zokora is the most capped player in the history of the Ivory Coast national team. He plays as a defensive midfielder on the club level but mostly slots in as a centerback for the Elephants.
IVORY COAST NATIONAL TEAM
Zokora made his international debut in 2000 and has appeared in all of Ivory Coast's World Cup games. He made five appearances during this cycle of World Cup qualifying.
After starting his career with Mimosas, Zokora signed with Genk in 2000. Since leaving that club in 2004 he has played for Saint-Etienne, Tottenham Hotspur, Sevilla, and Trabzonspor. He made 24 appearances with Trabzonspor in 2013-14.
