David Myrie is a 26-year-old defender named as an injury replacement for Heiner Mora.


Myrie represented Costa Rica at the 2005 U-17 World Championship and the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He made his senior national team debut in 2010. Prior to 2014, his last appearance for Costa Rica came in a 2012 friendly.


Myrie began his career in 2005 with Cadiz of the Spanish third division. He played for Puntarenas and Alajuelense in Costa Rica, then saw minimal playing time during a brief stint in MLS, first with the Chicago Fire (Sept. 2009) and then, after being selected in the Expansion Draft, with the Philadelphia Union (until March 2010). Since then, Myrie has played for Limón and Uruguay de Coronado in Costa Rica, with a brief stint at Norwegian club Fredrikstad in 2011, before joining Herediano and seizing a starting spot for the 2013-14 season.
