Clément Simonin

Option declined following 2016 season.

Born in Ploemeur, Bretagne, France, Simonin was the surprise pick of the 2015 MLS draft, and managed two starts for the TFC first team in the 2015 season. He has also played significant minutes for TFC II. He will hope to establish himself as a dependable defender for coach Vanney in 2016.

COLLEGE: Simonin spent two seasons (2013-14) at NC State. Simon spent 2011-12 at Div. II Lander University , where he was a second team All-American. He was a two-time NSCAA All-Southeast Region and All-Peach Belt Conference team performer.

BEFORE MLS: Made brief appearances in French lower divisions with Lorient B in 2009-10 and US Concarneau in 2010-11 … Appeared in eight games for the Seattle Sounders U-23s in the USL Premier Development League in 2014.
