CURRENT CLUB: Sevilla (Spain)

Beto is a veteran goalkeeper started 33 games for Sevilla in 2013-14 and helped them capture the 2013-14 Europa League title in a penalty shootout. He has yet to appear in a competitive match for the Portugal national team.

PORTUGUESE NATIONAL TEAM

Beto has appeared sparingly for Portugal since making his debut in 2009. He was a member of Portugal's 2010 World Cup squad.

CLUB CAREER

After bouncing around to eight different teams, Beto arrived in Sevilla in 2013. He made 14 starts in the second half of the 2012-13 and continued that good form into the 2013-14 season.
