Benjamin Di Rosa

Ben Di Rosa joins St. Louis CITY2 as a defender ahead of the club’s inaugural 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season, after previously playing for Charleston Battery in the USL Championship. 

Di Rosa grew up in Washington, D.C. and spent a majority of his youth career at Bethesda Soccer Club Academy. In 2017, Di Rosa joined the University of Maryland’s men’s soccer team and made over 54 appearances. In 2018, he played a pivotal role in the team’s national championship win and was named to the College Cup All-Tournament team.  

Following his impressive college career, he was invited to the MLS Combine, and was drafted 44th overall by New York City FC in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. Later that year, he signed with Charleston Battery and made over 20 appearances for the club.
