For a 10-year span from 2007-17, Sagna was one of the best right backs in the Premier League while playing for Arsenal and Manchester City. Born to Senegalese parents, the French international has made 65 appearances for Les Bleus.
INTERNATIONAL: Sagna appeared for France in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups and Euro 2016. He made his senior debut with Les Bleus on Aug. 22, 2007, against Slovakia, and also represented France at the youth level.
OUTSIDE MLS: Appeared in 267 games with Arsenal (2007-14) and Manchester City ('14-17), and was twice named to the Professional Footballers' Association Team of the Year ('07-08 and '10-11). He won an FA Cup ('13/14) and a League Cup ('15/16). Spent the second half of their 2017/18 season with Serie A club Benevento, and first debuted with Ligue 1's Auxerre in 2004, winning the Coupe de France in 2005.
